Change started with us last year...

...when we decided to help at the Grow Green garden after school at the SouthWest Area Neighborhood Association. We have a lot of fun but also get to see how some of the things we learn in school can be used in real life, like how a plant grows or how to give someone their change at the market. This program gives us a safe place to go after school.

School Age Youth

Help ensure that our students have the tools and support they need to improve their success in school. Children who receive consistent, nurturing caretaking are more likely to function well in school, develop positive peer relationships and behave appropriately. United Way is funding After School and Summer Enrichment Programs to channel kids’ out-of-school time toward positive activities, Mentoring Programs to increase attendance and improve relationships, and Early Intervention Programs to reduce problem behaviors. Your donations to the Community Fund help make sure every student in our community will be prepared for life ahead.
