Change started with me two years ago...

...when my son was killed. I knew that I wouldn't be able to spend time with my grandson if I couldn't address some other challenges in my life. A program at the Mental Health Association helped me to set goals, like getting my own apartment, and reach them. Now I spend every minute I can with my grandson.

Disability Services

United Way is addressing the needs of individuals with disabilities while working with other organizations to help the Rochester community become more inclusive of individuals with disabilities. Community Fund investments are going toward Transportation Services Programs to increase opportunities for community involvement, and Transition Coaching Programs to provide support and direction during key life transitions. Your support for the United Way Community Fund helps people with disabilities maximize their independence as fully engaged members of our community.
